Western Province Para Surfing Team for the 2023 Tyrelife Solutions SA Para Surf Champs and Para Surf League Open powered by Ocean Freedom

CONGRATULATIONS to the Surfers ( 2023 WESTERN PROVINCE PARA SURFING TEAMS) who have been selected to participate as part of  Western Province in the South African National Championships which will be held in Cape Town from 19th – 21st May 2023.

1. Please reply to your email to confirm you will be participating at the SA Championships so your place can be confirmed

2. You will need to send your classification information to Mo the international head of classifications to ensure you are eligible for the division you are surfing in. Please make contact with her by reading the classification letter attached to your email.

2023 Tyrelife Solutions SA Para Surf Champs and Para Surf League Open powered by Ocean Freedom

The Para Surfing community in South Africa are delighted to announce that the 2023 Tyrelife Solutions SA Para Surf Championships powered by Ocean Freedom will form part of the newly launched Global Para Surf League. The first stop of the global tour is in South Africa. The SA Para Surf Championships and Para Surf League event will be hosted at Muizenberg, South Africa from 19-21 May 2023. The future global Para Surfing League event destinations include the USA, Costa Rica, Spain, France and Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity for our talented South African Para Surfing athletes to compete with some of the best Para surfers in the world. All South African athletes competing in the SA Champs 2023 will make themselves eligible for selection for Team South Africa that will be competing at the ISA World Para Surfing Championships in December 2023.

Surfing South Africa is the recognised National governing body for the sport of surfing and its disciplines in South Africa. Para Surfing, along with longboarding, bodyboarding, kneeboarding and SUP Surfing are all disciplines within the organisation. All International and National events are sanctioned by SSA. Surfing South Africa is proud to be a member of the Olympic family, the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC), the African Surfing Confederation (ASC) and the International Surfing Association (ISA).
