The Roxy Davis Foundation’s 2025 mentorship & training programme is proudly supported by Laureus Sport for Good. The programme equips youth with skills, leadership, and ocean-based opportunities for impact.
Our Objective: To increase opportunities for children and Young Persons with relevant, positive, soft and technical skills required to access employment. Focusing on employability equips young people with the skills needed to break cycles of poverty and unemployment. Investing in youth skills development has a direct impact on long-term economic growth, benefiting individuals and their communities.
International Wheelchair Day is celebrated on 1st March each year. It's a day to celebrate the positive impact wheelchairs have on people's lives, and to acknowledge the work of those who support wheelchair users.
This training provides essential inclusivity education and skills development in adaptive surfing, disability inclusion, and universal access. It aims to create employment pathways within adaptive sports, particularly for youth with disabilities, fostering broader access to ocean-based careers. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to create more inclusive environments and support diverse hiring and engagement. A workforce trained in disability inclusion builds a more compassionate, capable, and equitable society.
Join the Roxy Davis Foundation for the Nature Connect Snorkeling Day on Saturday, 8 March 2025, and help create an unforgettable ocean experience for young participants! As a volunteer, you’ll assist with guiding and supporting participants as they explore the underwater world, learn about freediving equipment, and snorkel in a safe, supervised environment. No prior experience needed—just a passion for the ocean and helping others!
Why Our Surf Therapy Participants Should Join: This is an incredible opportunity for our surf therapy community to embrace the water in a new and exciting way. Swimming is a natural extension of the healing power of the ocean, helping build confidence, strength, and resilience. By joining this swim, you’re not only challenging yourself but also celebrating the progress you’ve made through surf therapy. Let’s dive in together and make waves for change!
