February 18 @ 7:30 am - 1:30 pm

The Surf Therapy clinics are designed for:
- Anyone who has a permanent or temporary disability
- Community members who’d like to volunteer their time and support in changing lives
To get involved
Step 1. Complete your *Indemnity (expires on 31 December 2023)
*complete once per annum or if details change
Step 2. Book your surf/volunteer session here
Here’s the plan for the next few months (more to follow via WhatsApp)
Each session is made possible by the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers and surfers – together we are reliant on each other and grateful for your precious gift of time, finances and friendship to create an inclusive community
- Surf sessions are by appointment for both surfers and volunteers
- Support teams are made up of a Safety Officer, a trained Adaptive Surf Coach, a trained Head Volunteer, trained volunteers, and trainee volunteers
- Depending on the needs of a surfer there will be between 2 and 8 team members per surfer
- NB for safety reasons – the surfer and volunteers will/may come into contact with each other
- The more volunteers we have, the more people can surf
- We will do our best to accommodate you on the date you select
- For Volunteers each session starts with a 45 min safety training session and will end with a 20 minute feedback session
- Please be on time – whether you are a surfer or a volunteer everyone’s time is precious – nervous surfers rely on volunteers; and cold volunteers wait for surfers:)
Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and donors for making these events possible. If you would like to be part of our surf tribe changing a life one wave at a time please donate here.
Your donations go towards specialised equipment, safety training and services and surf therapy program management
